From Independence: Travel 3.7 miles on highway 58 west. As you travel, you will pass Rixey’s Market on your left. This is a great place to buy gas and snacks; lottery tickets too. I do all my farm shopping here. Later you will pass Independence Lumber Company on your right. Within rock throwing distance from here, on your left, you will see Saddle Creek Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetery. You will turn right onto 682 / Saddle Creek Rd. within yards. Be careful, this road will miss you. Travel on Saddle Creek Rd. 1.25 mile. We are the second big white house on the right #1298. You can’t miss it.

From Marion: Travel south on highway 16 through the mountains of Smyth and Grayson Counties. You will pass through the communities of Sugar Grove, Grant and Volney. Here, follow highway 58 E. through Mouth of Wilson and Bridle Creek. This journey will take you nearly 40 minutes. After Mouth of Wilson you will enjoy a drive along the New River. Watch out and don’t miss the enclave of Fox. This is the stomping ground of the infamous Kirk boys. Stories can be told. After Fox, you will pass through Bridle Creek and by Bridle Creek United Methodist Church. You are now 1 mile from Saddle Creek Road. Look for the only par 3 golf course and catfish pond in Bridle Creek. After the pond, take your second left; just over the knoll. Your left will be #682 / Saddle Creek Road. Travel on Saddle Creek Rd. 1.25 mile. We are the second big white house on the right #1298. You can’t miss it.
